​I have been a loyal and Grateful client of Ed's since about 1985. My Mother found him when he was still located on Whitney Ave. Now as a Mom, I bring my family to Ed for his services. I can go to him for anything from repairs, finding a great selection, He will reuse old good lenses for a new frame right on site while you wait, just about anything. In 2002 I was involved in a MV accident where my glasses were mangled from the air bag. Ed came to the hospital himself to repair my glasses for me so I could see and have them. He is always a real character from his neck ties to the animated dancing Hamsters. I can always just stop in and see Ed. He has always been there to help anytime and is always available. He calls it multi-tasking, I call him Genius! I could choose to go other places closer, but I don't feel I would get the same treatment or quality I have received from Mt Carmel Optician over these last 27 yrs. I HIGHLY recommend Ed for any eyeglasses, contacts, issues, or just always a good story.

​My family has been using Ed's services for years since he was in the original location on Whitney Ave. I literally got my first pair of glasses as a teenager from there. Even when I left the area for several years, if I returned for a visit and needed help with my eyeglasses I could always expect the same friendly service. There are other larger chains that promise quick turnaround, but the time saved is not worth the trade-off in lesser quality product and less than top notch service. I could go anywhere but make it a point to get my eyeglasses and contacts at Mt. Carmel Opticians.

He is always available, professional and accommodating whether it is fixing a minor repair or fitting you for a new pair of glasses.

​Back in April 2011, I talked to Ed about a pair of sunglasses that I could were while driving, walking, exercising and for the occasional indoor shopping. He recommended that my next pair of sunglasses should have Drivewear lenses. So, I took his advice and ordered the Drivewer sunglasses. This was the best thing I could have ever done for my eyes. After driving long distances, I don't feel tired and I feel relaxed. Ed took the extra steps in assuring the proper prescription of the lenses and the fit of the frames.
